I am preparing to do a mini spree at the end of October right after I close on a house, including trying for some CLIs on some of my current cards. I did a search on here for information about USAA CLI and I didn't find a lot. One poster earlier this year seemed to indicate that only full members were eligible for an increase. Does anyone know if this is true? I got the MC last September.
Call them and ask??
As an existing cardholder you would be considered for a CLI. You should know that USAA is not great on CLI's (based on what I have read on other sites). Nor do they set the world on fire on CL's from what I have read. Likely it is like many things and it depends on your credit standing an income.

Partial members are eligible for a CLI. They will do an HP on Equifax.
And contrary to what was previously posted, they can be fairly liberal with initial credit lines and even CLIs. When I applied for a card with them as a partial member, I did so specifically based on my research from multiple threads/credit pull databases, etc. Initial CL = $12000, and subsequent CLI of $8000 approximately nine months later. You do have to talk to a CSR to request it, and after pulling your credit they will tell you the CLI you are eligible for - I did not get to request an amount.
Good luck.
Thank you everyone for your input. When I apped for USAA, they gave me my second highest CL at the time. Now they are my 4th highest, so maybe they will match one of my higher ones. I'm not sure yet whether I'll pull the trigger on this next month or wait until next year. If anyone else has anything else to add about this, I would greatly appreciate it!
Update: I called them and asked for an increase. They asked for income/monthly housing payment and it took 30 seconds to process. They came back and approved a $3000 increase which will bring me up to $7000. I'm a partial member.
Oh excellent!! I'm a partial member too, so good information to know.
Congratulations, nice increase!!
Definitely HP. They told me about it and asked me if I wanted to proceed.
