So I applied for a Capital One (NOT SECURED) card a couple of months ago and got approved. Today I decided to apply for a Walmart Card and Amazon card and got denied for both. Am I just going to have to keep using this one card to try to rebuild my credit? The limit is low, so it isn't really going anywhere fast Just curious on what steps I should take

If Cap-1 is the only thing on your report it will take 6 months to generate a FICO score. What are the reasons your are being denied??
Ah, I have a Fingerhut and C1, both just a couple of months ago, but it just said wait 7-10 days...before I got approved for C1 for me that typically meant not approved so I'm not sure what the reasons are yet until I get the letter!
Have you obtained a copy of your TU CR? I've give that a good looking over.

ok, you wont be able to generate a FICO until 6 months of history report to the CRAs that is most likely hindering you quite a bit. Just continue to use these accounts and PIF, sit back and wait for month 7 then try again for a few cards. If you keep apping now you will just be spinning your wheels and burning HPs.
Oh, I am also a joint holder for a Care Credit card, which I used 900 on and paid off completely in 6 months. It did not show up on my credit, however my sister (other joint) is using it now making minimum monthly payments, and now it decided to show up on my credit ha. I'm trying to explain to her that she should may more than the minimum payments
Okay thank you! I'm not sure how to quote by the way, sorry

When you select the person you want to reply to you hit the reply button, on the next screen upper right corner of the reply box is the quote button, punch it then respond to the individual.
