Can you request a cli with fingerhut or is it just auto increased only.

They will tell you they review each account several times a year and do not accept customer request for increases.

just remember even if they gave you a $1000 CLI, its still only good at fingerhut, over priced, low quality merchandise, and an APR that is crazy, better off just paying with a normal card, having a large limit on fingerhut probably won't get you any thing extra in the future, and underwriters may not consider it a possitve TL since only people with negatives or desperate want a finger hut card. 

Its a way to get started and pad your credit report, once its done its job, close it and forget they exist. You may not have a choice about having the card now, its a start, its like a training wheel on your bike, use tyhem,  learn to ride, and toss them in the trash, you will look funny with training wheels on your 10-speed.

It's auto increase only. When I was as approved, I bought a pack of undies and paid in full. About 2 or 3 times a week I get emails reminding me of the credit that I have with them.

I wouldn't call all the products they offer low quality they carry Kitchenaid, Apple, Carhartt, Etc. I would definitely call them grossly over priced for the items they offer.

I did shortly after being approved for FH apply for Gettington, the regular priced version of FH with better terms and was denied as they have "higher" credit standards. I came back a month later and was approved.

If you want to have an account such as FH look to Gettington for the long term and keep FH to pad your UTI.

I agree might be a little overpriced but as for low quality items is not. So when they offer galaxy s5 and appleproducts.

I do not believe they accept requests for CLI's.  But if you use it, you will inevitably get an increase.   Sometimes they send temp increases teasing you to use your credit to make the increase permanent.  I always hated that tactic.  FH serves its purpose in credit building, so plan on moving on soon as possible to better stores and credit as your credit improves.  Fingerhut was who I started with during my credit rebuild and I don't believe other credits know, or care its a FH account unless they manually review your credit.  I never had a problem having Fingerhut on my credit reports.  In short, use it and they will reward you with CLI's, but it is expensive stuff.   Gettington is better and the exact same stuff.  Good Luck to you!
