Besides, don't we already waste enough gigabytes on useless "shopping cart trick approval" threads that are just filled with generic "Congrats! Thanks for sharing" posts that just ring hollow, whose only purpose is to pad someone's already bloated post count?
And what's up with the EO phone #s/emails being such a mystery? It's not like they're the nuclear launch codes.
Mods take note at this! Well said my friend, Well said indeed!

This is a credit forum. What percentage of the threads posted do think could be classified as "redundant'? How many of the threads could be locked with a suggestion to use the search function? That's not what it's all about. It's a community and people reply to the same questions and the same comments over and over again because it helps people who are looking for help because that's what we do here.
The moderators help maintain the flow of the community by sorting out these threads. While I agree with your sentiment in being helpful, I also agree that discussion needs to be free-flowing and that we need to keep a variety of topics available to the members. One recent example was the rush for NASA FCU CC applications. There were so many threads that it effectively shut out all other discussions.
We have several issues that have created frustration over the Cap One EO info. We have a lender that has not publicized their EO phone number and we have a community with a TOS that prevents personal contact (such as email) from being publicly posted. We have a lender that prefers you reach their EO by a personal contact (i.e., emailing their CEO) and we have a lot of members that would like to contact the Cap One EO. However, we have also noted that many members have PMed to obtain contact information from each other. I continue to recommend this.
