Cap 1 Platinum PC question

I have had my Cap 1 platinum card for 5 months or so. All my payment have been on time. How long before I can have it PC'd and what can I have it changed to?

6 months is the traditional timeframe with Cap1. Options would probably be the QuickSilver or Venture. Stick to your funds guns and opt for the card that does NOT have an AF.

I just switched my Platinum to QS. I had the card just over a year. I didn't even know PC was an option until I started reading the forums....thanks everyone!!

It wasn't under my upgrade options online so I just jumped on chat and they checked for me. It was quick and easy. Rewards were added to my online acct within 2 days and I had my new card a week later. They said I could upgrade it to the Venture in 6 months, but I prefer the cash back over the miles. I just switched my husband's Platinum as well. Super quick and easy.

You could jump on chat and ask them. If the acct isn't eligible yet for PC, you could try again after your 6th statement cuts. Good luck!

Happy 4th of July I pc'd platinum MC to Quicksilver during my second month. I did it through chat asked if my account was eligible to upgrade. Good luck

I PC'd my Plat MC to QS 3 months after activating .  Today I just PC'd my QS1 to QS. 1 year after activating. 2 prior attempts were denied.  It simply depends on what they're looking for and what they see when they review your account(s)  .  For me I believe they saw a lot of swipe fees and that was enough for them. Good luck and if denied, keep trying every couple months. I did both via online chat.

I used chat to PC my platinum to a QS in the second month.  I'm glad I did it early, b/c of all the cash back I was able to earn.
