Cap One CLI 6 months after initial Credit Steps CLI

I opened Cap one plat in 2/2015  with initial CL of 2K .  Credit Steps enrollment with CLI after six months on Aug 1015 of 2K. Total Credit 4K..  Tried to get CLI using online CLI button six months after last credit steps increase 7 months ago and got response in 2-3 days.  I assume it will be denied.  Has anyone gotten increase after the initial Credit steps 6 months CLI?

np. there are a lot of posts on here for people that have the QS mastercard (which would have been in credit steps) and they're getting CLIs often. just keep reading around Smiley Happy

Yeah for sure, you will definitely receive another cli. My Quicksliver card was in credit steps. Started at 500 and now at 7000 in one year. So keep using that card, and capital one will show you luv.

Of course.   However, you should make sure to read the denial letter to find out what their reasoning was.

Re: Cap One CLI 6 months after initial Credit Steps CLI

They always deny me when I push the button. But with steps I have gotten increase every six months.

The denial reason is always because of "recent increase".

Re: Cap One CLI 6 months after initial Credit Steps CLI

They told me my cli was denied because my monthly payments were too low. They said to increase payment amounts and request again in three months. I changed my auto pay amounts from the min to $200. Maybe that will get me some luv. Thanks guys for all your advice.

Yes.

be loyal, pay often even before statement.

you can also open new accounts when you feel your credit and/or income is much better.

often new accounts sl is more than old accounts cli total.

see my sig.  My first cap one card was 3k 2 years ago!

Rebuild started in 2014  -  $100k unsecured credit in 2017  -  $500k unsecured credit in 2024.
