Cap One CLI question

I tied for a CLI on my CapOne Savor One about a month ago( probably less) and got denied for not using enough of my limit. I've since run about a grand through it the past month, this is still not close to my limit of 10K. I'm also not going to run it up to anywhere close to the limit any time soon. I was just wondering if I should hit them up again or do a few months of running about the same number of charges. These are all fairly small purchases, just daily spend stuff so they are getting their swipe fees. Thoughts?

Re: Cap One CLI question

Capital One looks at the last 3 month average at a minimum and often uses the last 6 months. Trying to game them into giving a CLI is a waste of time most of the time but it’s a SP so it’s worth a shot.

IMHO, I wouldn't start spending a lot of money just to get a CLI. I suggest putting recurring expenses on the card together with organic spend, and if that's not a good enough spend for Cap1--oh well.  Smiley Very Happy

That's about the way I feel about it. I'm not going to run up some balances just to get a little extra padding. I'll give it a couple of months and if they won't budge then I'll just not worry about it. I have plenty of padding already really for no more than I spend on cards. Thanks

Re: Cap One CLI question

Capt 1 has become almost impossible to get a good cli from.   I do better with other  top tier cards every 6 months ask for cli anf get something.  Mine and dw  scores are at 800 and i have a whole 2,000 dw 10,500.  For reference dw amex card is 18,000 my Disco card 17,500
