Ok guys a little advice would be greatly appericated.
I have a Cap One acct in collections, I keep getting emails from Cap One asking me to log on and take advantage of the wonderful repayment options but when ever that happens I get transfereed to United Recovery Systems who tells me to speak with James West (a lawfirm). I called the cap one number on the back of my card and the process starts over again.
Any suggestions?

Send a letter to Capital One along with a copy of the email. Explain the situation that occurs when you log into the account. Let them know that you want to take advantage of the repayment offer.
I was ust able to log onto my account through a website, it is telling me my acct is still w/urs and it is showing the balance I owe. If I pay it will it show on my cr that I have paid my cap one acct or will it show up as I paid a ca?

Capitalone will update your credit reports. Are you logging into Cap One's website to pay the balance, or a third party? Is there a collection account associated with the Cap One's account appearing on your credit reports?
I was logged onto cap one's website. It list united recovers systems as who it was being serviced by. I figured since I was in the "Cap One System" I would make the payment, so I did.
Was that right or wrong?

Either way the balance still needed to be paid. United Recoverr System may be part of Capital One's inhouse collections. It would be great if no collection tradeline for the account is appearing on your credit reports.
To be honest I do not have a collection tradeline for this acct, but on my cap one tradeline it said charged off acct, closed by credut grantor.
Is there anything I should do? Now that I've paid it? I mean the whole goal of paying this down and off was to increase my score. I'm just wondering if I need to send a letter anywhere.

Perfect they didn't add a collection tradeline. Let the account update reflecting a zero balance. After that, you want to start writing goodwill letters requesting a deletion. You may have to send more than one.
