In for this info!
Ive had a Capital One Secured card for two years and a Cash Rewards for one year. Cash Rewards started at $500.......needless to say it still is :/ I just went and got a Chase Freedom on Monday and got instantly approved for $1,000. Might have to threaten Capital One that I will close accounts unless I get an increase haha
I have heard one step, I have heard two steps.
I started out in Nov with $300 CL. My first auto CLI (step) was a bump up to a $1300 CL - yes, folks, I actually saw an increase of $1000! I was amazed, as I totally expected $250 like most seem to get on that step.

@primechicken how did you make your case for that?
I posted all about it here: http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/So-Cap1-EO-called-me-today/m-p/2055633
I've had this card for two years now with the Credit Steps.
Opened with 300 CL and went to 500 after three statements. Then to my suprise, it jumped to 1500 about nine months after opening and it hasn't moved since.
I think when I get a better card with rewards I'll contact the EO and try to upgrade and get rid of the AF.

Unfortunately secured cap1 cards cannot be upgraded, you would have to app for a new card.
CAP1 seems to not be doing PCs...at least for me. I wanted to PC my MTV visa to a cash rewards card (through the regular CSR of course) and she said my card is a credit step program card and not eligible to be PC'd. Must apply for the Cash rewards visa...weird huh? From $500 to $750 to $1500. My final step lol
