So DW and I are firmly in the garden after last months app spree. We initally went to the prequal page for Cap1 and all that came back was the Platinum and Quicksilver One. She already has the QS1. Not bucketed just no usage except to keep it alive. But the other day while we were checking her Creditwise and there was an offer for the Savor card. Went to the the prequal page again and the same two card show up.
My question is has anyone ever received an offer through the creditwise feature for cards?
What was the difference in your portal offers vs prequal page?
If so, what was your outcome, if you applied?
Are cap1 offers that they link to you in your portal more favorable than the prequal page?
I'm not sure about Capital One, but I had this same thing happen with Chase.
Chase prequal showed only the Chase Slate and Freedom. Logged in to the CreditViewDashboard and had offers for Slate, Freedom, CSP, and FU.
I don't know why there is a difference, or if they are solid offers. Interesting that it seems to happen on CO too.
Thanks for the info,,looks like it doesnt seem to be just isolated to Cap1..I also recieved a mail offer for the same card today. Wish this would have shown up while we were applying for cards.

Creditwise offers seem to be better odds than regular prequal just like Chase does with their Credit Journey offers.
If I were to guess, the CMS is separate from the regular prequalification tools and uses trended data instead of a snapshot of your EQ profile when you check the prequal.
Good to know. Thanks @Saeren
