Cap One EO Success (well, sort of)

I contacted the EO two days ago via telephone.  Asked to PC my Platinum MC to the Quicksilver, was told it could upgrade to Quicksilver One instead.  Asked about the AF, said it has an annual fee of $39 and they could not waive it.  They did, however, credit my account $39 for the fee they charged already this year.  I asked for a limit increase to $3000 from $1500.  The countered at $2000.  Also, I asked if they could convert my secured card with a $500 limit to non-secured with no AF, they said no, but they did credit my account the $29 annual fee for this year.  So, all in all, not bad, but not exactly what I wanted.  BTW - I haven't used these cards in a few months and really have no plan to use them, I just wanted to get those limits up to add to my available credit.  After I purchase a house next year I plan to close the secured, but will keep the Quicksilver One so long as they keep reimbursing me the AF.  Otherwise, I will get rid of that one too, but right now I need them for my AAofA.

Very good..that's why I always suggest asking for everything - next time add APR reduction to the list. Smiley Wink

You did very well bravo

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
