What kind of benefits are you looking at? Accordingly, we could tell you if it serves your need or it doesn't.
Is it the "One" (with annual fee) or regular Q/S (no AF)? Both have same features except One has AF.
Overall, it is a pretty good card by itself. The rewards are decent (no category bonus to be bothered with, 1.5% straight) and the redemption is also one of the best. You can redeem any amount, whenever you like, as cash or statement credit.
Getting credit limit increases might be a pain (sometimes) but those could be resolved through other routes. You'll get plenty advice here when you need a CLI.
Customer service is decent (as one could be with scripts).
No foreign transaction fee makes it an easy foreign spending card. However, they don't have a chip yet, so using kiosks is not an option when travelling abroad.
Good card, good rewards. Only drawbacks 3 HPs to get the card and if just starting credit low credit limits.

I think its very under rated card. The three hps is an pain in the butt tho. No FTF card at 1.5% cashback almost everywhere since MC is accpeted almost everyhwere isn't that bad.

What does FTF stand for? She has a credit score of myfico 638. Only has 1 Secured CC Joint with me with a CL of $1,000.00
It stands for Foreign Transaction Fee, which is charged on some cards for using them out of the US.
With the score mentioned it will be the QS One, the version with an Annual Fee.

Foreign Transaction Fee. Only applies if your daughter travels outside the country.
But as others have said, the Quicksilver is a decent "everything else" card since it's a flat 1.5% (vs. the 1% "everything" category of most other cards).
You certainly can't go wrong with one.

I have two Quicksilvers (since one was previously HSBC which Cap1 bought). It's a solid rewards card with some features I prefer even over Amex.. the rewards show up almost instantly, and you can redeem any amount without waiting to build up to $25 like Amex or BofA do. I just redeemed $16 on my Quicksilver and it showed up within a day. My credit limits are decent too - $4500 and $5900. You can customize your card with your own image, too, every 30 days.
I think it's a pretty good card. The rewards don't take too long to redeem and you can instantly see how much cashback you've gotten with each purchase. Payments usually post on the same business day if you pay before 5 pm.

Actually, the QS can either be a Visa or MC. Not sure how it's determined which one you get, but there's that.
