I opened a Cap One QS1 in Jan 16, with a SL of 300, and after third month hit the luv button and rewcieved a 3000 CLI, then last week I upgraded to the Venture card. I really wanted a metal card, lol and I travel a lot. I want to upgrade to a World version , hopefully next month adter my credit steps hits. Would be it be easiest to contact EO? Any help would be appreciated? Thanks!!

There has to be upgrades available when you contact Capital One. It seems that you just upgraded to the Venture. I believe you have to have a 5k or better line to get the WEMC, WMC. No I would not bother the EO with a request like this.
It seems as you have opened this account in January, your credit steps will not kick in til June or July.

Congratulations on your upgrade to a Venture, and on your significant CLI!
For a short time Capital One issued metal Venture cards to some people as a test, but people have reported that when inquiring further the test is now over, and it is not possible to issue a metal card even with intervention from the EO team.
Regardless of the composition of the physical card, you have a very nice account with good rewards... again, congrats!
Thanks for the information! I really appreciate it
The easiest way to get a WMC from them is to do a PC (to QS, Venture or VentureOne) after your limit is over $5,000. The EO route is much harder to get it done for some reason.
I just did this twice this month, once a QS1 -> QS upgrade on one card and a couple of days ago on a QS -> VentureOne. What happened both times is something triggers in the system and they got issued as WMC's during the PC.
They only allow PC's once every 6 months. In 6 months, I'm planning on changing the V1 back to a QS and from my understanding, once it's issued as a WMC, it stays that way in their system.

Wow! Congrats! How much usage did you put on the QS1 and did you pay more than the minimum or paid in full each month?
Thanks! I would put around 1500 a month, mulitple payments and always PIF I'm hoping for a large credit steps increase as well!
Also is a chage to World Mastercard a PC? Thanks

PC stand for "Product Change" and is generally thought of as changing from Quicksilver to Venture, for example. If you PC a Capital One MasterCard with a credit line over $5k, most people report being upgraded to a 'World' MasterCard as part of the PC.
Having a MasterCard changed to a World MasterCard without changing the product type seems to be a bit more elusive for most people.
Thanks.. That makes more sense !
