Unless you have a prime cap one account which it appears that you don't i wouldn't waste anytime with capone in regards to credit limit increases.
its cap 1 , not surprised at all
Yes, I received the same form letter. Credit limit increase not available. Seems also the product has a top end cl of $ 750. or so. Anyway, I have sock drawered mine. Use it only for online purposes. Minimizes damage in a bad case scenario. MY af comes up later this year. I'll see if it is waived or not.
I had the same card for over a year and Capital One's solution to me wanting a credit line increase was for me to sign up for another card. So I actually ended up with two accounts for 750 each. Fixed that problem a couple of weeks ago though by closing both. Keep the account long enough to establish a positive history and get into a couple of prime cards and then retire the capital one it served its purpose.
Yes, I have several months of positive reporting with cap one. I want to keep it around for another year or two for the history.
In my wallet, Chase Freedom, Pen Fed Cash Rewards, Amex Gold Revolver and Cap One Master Card.

the top end CL for the non-prime cards is $3500, if you start with a $3000 initial and get the $500 credit steps increase, above that you probably won't get much more. The excellent cards go up into the 20,000-30,000 area. Amazing the difference there is.
