I started out with this card at $500 CL, after 6 months my CL was increased to $750. Then.....about 2.5 yrs later of having this card, I went online to pay my monthly bill and my CL was $4750 without a request from myself. My brother had the same issue, after 4yrs, they increased his CL to $3000 from $500 starting CL.
That's pretty cool. I am not 100% if I should just drop them. I kind of want to just as an "In your face" type deal but I don't know... Having the card isn't hurting its just annoying. If I decide to keep it maybe one day I will see CLI. One can only hope!
I keep my capital one card just because its the only card I have right now with no foreign transaction fee. If I get a BoA Travel Rewards or a PenFed card in the next year, I will close Capital One.... there aren't many cards that offer 0% foreign transaction fee though.

If it's not hurting your score, I wouldn't cancel the card. Just be patient, I'm sure they will increase your CL.
I am hoping so. When I look at it from the CCCs POV. I am not sure how Cap1 would consider a customer like me. I PIF every month and I have no AF. Cap1 is just a means of me funneling my fund to help my CS and CR. Looking at the situation like that, I often wonder how CCCs perceive clients such as myself.
@airdefender14 Keep it. Especially if you don't have an AF. It's not hurting anything. I think with Cap 1 a lot of things factor into the equation, such as state, usage, type of card etc. I was told like I'm sure everyone else has that CLI's are automatically given out and therefore can't be granted by request. I've had my card for two years now, but only recently have I began to abuse it as much as possible then PIF by the end of the month, and lo and behold, after randomly checking the modify features section, there was a pre-approved offer to apply for another card. Eventhough I declined because it wasn't the card that I wanted, I assumed I got the offer because I quadrupled my usage. I only have a 500 dollar limit but some months I kid you not, I have charged a couple grand on it. If you look at your statement, it'll state the total amount of card usage on there. I'm no expert by any means, but IMO charging two grand on a 500 dollar card has to look good to any CCC!!! Not to say that it'll work for you, but it does add another weapon to your arsenal if you haven't already tried it. Anyway, good luck, and I hope you get that credit increase soon!!!
