Re: Cap1 CLI

I called the backdoor number just to check to see if my CC had an upper CL max. She didn't say that it did and said I wasn't eligible until the six month mark for a large increase. Then she asked if I would be interested in a $750 CLI. I said sure! I know I was up for my automatic $500 CLI in about 2 weeks. I guess I will see if I can "slip one past the goalie", and get that $500 CLI in 2 weeks. I know lots of people don't like Cap One, but so far they have been great to me from auto loan to checking account to CC!! BTW, the CSR said it would take 3 days to show on my account. 30 seconds later my page refreshed and there it was...WOW!!

Re: Cap1 CLI

Quick question...

I have a Cap1 with a $500 limit. I got the card in August 2006 and have had one CLI (from $300) approximately 9 months ago. I have a perfect payment history with them and know I could get a CLI by calling the backdoor #.

But...I plan on buying a house this spring (March or April) and don't know if I want to take the hard inq hit. I recently added a second card (credit union Visa w/ a $2500CL). Is there a hard inq for APR reduction? Currently at 18.65%.

Re: Cap1 CLI

There is no hard required for Cap1 increase.  They do it internally....lol!!!  Gues they abuse our reports enough at application
