Cap1 Credit Steps

How do you enroll in Cap1 credit steps? I have a Cap1 QS One card with a 1k credit limit.

I don't think you can enroll, I think it's a Cap1 decision

Re: Cap1 Credit Steps

Do they send you something to tell you that you are enrolled? I'm just curious if I am enrolled or not. It was my first card in rebuilding stage so I'm hopeful I will get an increase after my 6th statement.

Re: Cap1 Credit Steps

Cap One places certain new accounts in a credit steps program at the accounts inception. How they determine who gets credit steps is their secret, you cannot enroll in it. Yes they will send you information on your credit steps with your card if you in fact receive the credit steps program.

Re: Cap1 Credit Steps

We received emails that said something along the lines of 'You're on your way to more spending power'.

I don't recall getting anything. I actually ended up calling them and asking, and the CSR told me I was in Credit Steps. I got a $500 CLI on my 6th statement. Good luck!Smiley Happy

Re: Cap1 Credit Steps

Thanks everyone. I looked back through my emails and doesn't look like I'm enrolled. Guess I'll just have to clicking the CLI button until I get more than a $100 increase.

When you say emails where are you looking?

Because if you were enrolled you'll find it in your account secure message center when signed in is this what you mean by email?

Just curious

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

I would recommend calling and asking them. I never got anything either. Smiley Happy

Hadn't even thought about that! So thanks. Nothing in my messages so I used the chat feature. Apparently I'm enrolled and will get a $500 increase in February. Was hoping for more but guess I'll be happy with that. Smiley Happy
