99% are probably better off with 1.5% vs 1.25% travel...don’t ya think?

I think so, unless the Quicksilver isn't a PC option and the VentureOne is. Losing the fee is priority #1.
Why do you want a 1.25% miles card instead of a 1.5% cash card?
Do you use hotels.com a lot?

As far as PC’ing a QS to VentureOne, I don’t think they do that. I’m sure the response would be “you can always apply for it”.
My QS actually has an upgrade available right now for Venture and Venture One, so looks like they do have that available... perhaps rarely, but it does pop up. I prefer the 1.5% CB on the QS more than a 1.25% miles reward though and definitely not going to an AF, so not taking either one of these "upgrades."
We just upgraded my wife's Plat AF card to the Venture One a couple of days ago... and just got a notice that the new card has shipped!
Yeah I don’t know where it came from that you can’t PC a QS to Venture or Venture One but both offers have been on my account for months.
Its probably QS1 that is being spoken of which is notoriously difficult to PC.

I prefer to use hotels.com versus some of the other sites like Priceline. I don't have specific hotels that I prefer to stay at, so I tend to use their site. Also, I found out not long ago that the miles points can be redeemed to use for Airbnb, which I do that almost twice a year.
