I saw that people were able to upgrade there cards so I just called to day and they said we can move you up to a Cap1 Quicksilver card with no AF. Im really excited now but my credit limit is staying the same only $500.
When I spoke with the rep from the EO, they told me to try using the love button for CLI first and if that didn't work, to call back and go from there. I did that and she processed the changes. I didn't get the CLI because it was an Orchard card.
FWIW, I've had my first card since 2004 (not Orchard/HSBC) and had the hardest time getting the limit increased. If you want to keep the card, just be patient.
Seems funny that my first post would be in regards to Cap 1, but considering I was just messing around with this last night it seems timed perfectly. I have a low limit Plat MC that I'm debating whether I want to keep(because of the low limit, fairly high APR, and Cap1s crappy customer service). If I could turn it into something more useful, I'd keep it. Talked to a CSR last last year, nothing they could do for me. A little later, hit them up in chat. They still couldn't do anything for me. Earlier in the month(8/17) I saw people were having success using the luv button so I gave it a try, BINGO $500 increase. No great shakes, but at least something!
Tried chat again yesterday, still no help.
I started dorking around with my account settings, and noticed there was no employment or payroll info... figuring that might explain why the CSRs are being unreceptive I fill in the blanks. Then, WTH, I hit the luv button again and got the 7-10 days message.
I figure I'll wait for the letter and then hit them on FB and go through the EO process. I'm shooting to upgrade the card to no fee Plat Prestige or QS and maybe get an additional CLI bump.
I hit the luv button like two weeeks ago, and got the 7 to 10 days message. Of course I got denied. Then I contacted them through FB. I just got a call today that they can switch me to a QS card with no AF. My platinum card never had a AF, so I don't know if that matters. They will call me next week to see if I can get a credit increase, since it's a manual review. So I would definetely go the FB route.
I didn't want to start a new thread. But I finally got a credit increase, from $750 to $3000. And was able to get the the Quicksilver. All thanks to this forum.

Wow, nice CLI. Congrats!
Thanks @Irisa and @djc1puno!
Got a letter from Cap1 today telling me that my Cash Rewards card was migrating to Quicksilver on 11/10/13. They said they would add the 50% I have earned to this point to my account shortly after that. CL stays the same and they are not issuing new plastic.

On my 2x letters (VISA & MC), they said that they'll send me new QS cards when my No Hassle Cash cards expire.

When I called today, they told me I would get a new card in the mail but the account number would stay the same.
