As we know, typically Cap1 doesn't allow product changes from any Visa cards to the Savor. Well, to my surprise, I got an email from Cap1 telling me I might have offers. I thought it was the usual X, Quicksilver or Venture One PC's since I don't have a MC but to my shock, the Savor appeared as an option. I clicked on the PC without giving much thought 😂
I need to check my virtual card later to see if it's a visa as well. I suggest anyone looking to move between some Cap1 families to check their upgrades and offers.
Checked, it's a visa.
I'm jealous.

I don't know what prompted this bc I've never once had it appear the years I've been with Capone. I'm hoping this will be the standard. And I hope you get this eventual PC offer 🙏🙏
Shared screenshot above with the visa label.
@nytokyobred79 Congrats! That's a pretty sweet PC, especially since it showed up out of nowhere.
I have the Quicksilver Visa, and I've never had the Savor show up as a PC option. Hopefully one day Cap1 throws me the same offer!
Thanks for sharing the DP!
This is interesting new DP, as they haven't been allowing this for years. I've heard of the rare instance years ago in the OG era having a Franken Savor that was Visa, but nothing in the last 4.5yrs since I've been dealing with Capital One again.

Honestly, I have no idea what prompted it. I have used a BT on the Venture before but I don't think my spending patterns necessarily inferred Savor was better. But I couldn't resist. I'm hoping this becomes standard or more of these offers start going out.

I hadn't seen anyone mentioning this outlier so I thought it might be a new DP. I had the Venture Rewards for about 4 years for reference. Here's to hoping this will become normal.
@nytokyobred79 Yeah, that's what makes your DP so interesting. If your spending patterns weren't screaming “Savor,” then it really does feel like Cap1 is testing or expanding the PC offers they're willing to surface.
I can't blame you for not thinking twice when Savor suddenly appeared. A Visa-to-Visa PC into Savor is definitely one of those offers where I'd be clicking first and asking questions later.
Hopefully this is the start of Cap1 loosening up the PC rules rather than just a one-off unicorn. Either way, great DP... I'll definitely be checking my Quicksilver periodically now. For sure.

I went back to looked at my spending pattern the last 4 years and I typically used it for travel mainly but not so much for grocery shopping and other Savor categories. I did a BT twice with the venture but that doesn't seem like it would trigger it. So as you say, I hope they may be testing the waters to allow more flexibility between cards. It could be a win-win bc I'm sure there are tons of customers not wanting that triple pull who would PC to a visa branded Savor in a heartbeat.
