Re: Cap1 Venture Rewards to Savor Card Product Change- Success

@nytokyobred79 , thanks for starting this thread.  It has been a long time since I've logged into my account here, and I ran into some challenges with getting logged back in successfully, but I wanted to say thanks.  My old username was Man-Of-Steel and it wasn't available for me to select again.

Anyway, I had two Quicksilver Visa Signature cards and missed the small window of opportunity to product change one of those accounts into the original Savor card, back in 2018.  One Quicksilver is from 2014 and was opened as a Quicksilver.  The other Quicksilver started as a Venture in 2015 and was product changed into a Quicksilver before it was 1 year old.

I got approved for the new Savor card in 2019 (with the $500 bonus) and closed that account after a year.  Then I got approved for a new SavorOne card in 2021 (with the $200 bonus) and that account is still open.  That one is a Mastercard.

Over the years, I periodically checked for upgrade offers on both Quicksilvers.  I figured if I could product change one of the Quicksilver Visas into a Savor, I might eventually close the Savor Mastercard and have one less card to manage.  I hadn't checked in a while, but after seeing this thread, it reminded me to look again.  I was pleasantly surprised to see that I finally had an upgrade offer for the 2014 OG Quicksilver card to change to the Savor.   The standard options - VentureOne and Venture - were available as usual, but this time Savor appeared as well.  I selected the Savor card for the product change.

I was curious whether the Visa Signature logo would appear on the front of the card, as it does with the various Quicksilver designs.  The new card arrived a couple of days ago and the Visa logo does indeed appear on the front as I suspected it would.  For comparison, the Mastercard logo appears on the back of my other Savor card.

It is interesting to note that my 2015 Quicksilver did not, and still does not have a product change offer for the Savor card.

I know this is a small and somewhat insignificant change, but as a bit of a card collector, I'm pleased that I was finally able to get this product change after trying periodically for 8 years! lol.  And yes, I guess I really am somewhat of a card collector, with 15 credit cards, though I haven't applied for any new ones since June 2024.  So, this refreshed card felt a little like receiving a new card.  And as I mentioned, I might eventually close the Mastercard version.

Some of this might be moot if Capital One forces all Quicksilver and Savor accounts to switch to the Discover network, which I'm hoping doesn't happen.  Time will tell.  In the meantime, I will enjoy having what might end up being a unique card.

That's great to hear. I do wonder if Cap1 is opening this up to all or targeting folks. Either way, I'm glad that you got the upgrade offer and jumped on it right away. I hope that others with visas get this opportunity rather than the insufferable triple pull.

Thanks.  Yes, I'm wondering the same.  And yes, hopefully anyone who's interested in changing their card to a Savor will get the opportunity eventually.  I'm also wondering if Savor shows up consistently in the product change options/upgrades for all Mastercards now.
