Cap1 hasn't Crap'1nd me yet,Part 5.

Good day, guys. Cap1 hit me off with another CLI, I just got off the phone with an account specialist. Thanks to whoever put the promotion from Cap1 up because I called and I got a 500 dollar CLI on one of my Platinum Visa Cards. Now I have two cards with 1600 dollar limits. Thanks again!!!!!!!

Congrads on the CLI.  What did you say when you called and what number did you use?  I am having absolutely no luck with my Cap1 card.  Reps are telling me they have never seen anything like my card (yikes) ... does not have an option for any upgrades or offers.

The number I dialed was 1 877 513 9959. All I told them was that I would like make Cap1 the number 1 card in my wallet.

Well I tried AGAIN and stated I received the offer in the mail. Same ole story ... no offers available.  I don't know what kind of Cap1 card I have, but after four years of ontime payments I am ALMOST ready to call it CRAP1.  The rep transferred to me a "supv" who was pretty rude and scripted.  I think I ticked him when I advised him of the absolute ridiculous statement he made to me.  The supervisor stated Cap1 offers increases based on their available resources.  The only other option is for me to apply for another card to see if I am availale to receive additional.  My reply, "If you deem me credit worthy and open up another card for me with say $500-$1000 limit, why wouldn't those same resources be available for me on my existing card?"  He immediately went to his scripted and asked if there was anything else he could help me with today.  Well, looks like Cap1 won't be the #1 card in my wallet with only a $500 limit... and I am kind of sad about that.

Hmm. I think I'll give this number a go myself.

Conversation ended "...okay. I'll keep using my American Express card while this one sits in a drawer".

I thought I had them when they asked my account number and I replied "I'm not sure what the account number is. That card isn't in my wallet so I couldn't tell you".

I tell them that I dont carry my cards unless I intend to use them (which is true).  I then give them the last 4 digits of my account number while looking at my accounts online.
