Cap1 is no longer Crap1 in my book. They've changed in 2015!!
seriously though, sorry about that...that's all
From your name and pic, were you into Big Poppa Pump in the 90's??
He was the sh$#
Historically their secured card always had an AF. They must have changed it recently, but ultimately it depends on the terms under which your card was issued, not what they are currently offering on their website. I think the change is recent though, as in the last few months. If your AF is hitting then you've had it a lot longer than that.
Just wanted to point out that Capital One's secured card used to have an annual fee, but at some point in the past year they changed it so that it was a no annual fee card. The no annual fee version has a higher APR to make up for it (24.9% vs. 22.9%). It could very well be that you had applied for the earlier version, in which case the older terms (the ones that were in place when you applied) would be in place for your card.
It's kind of weird that they only partially refunded the annual fee though. Hope it works out for you.
yea guys u are right i have had mine a year so i guess im still under the old terms they havent even issued me a chip card for my old secured i will call tommorow and get them to give me a chip card maybe that will put it on the no anual fee terms. sorry guys just was venting.

Sorry to hear. I just wanted to say Cap1 has been exceptionally great to many including me, sometimes certain things do happen. I noticed you said you had the card for a year? Maybe its time to graduate that card for unsecured? I'm pretty sure that is what most likely they would do. By now you should be able to qualify for their other card. Maybe try Prequal see what pops up if you're interested that is.
thanks dodgey for that info i was just keeping it open it was my first card i have the QS1 and other unsecured cards i guess i really dont need it anymore
