Cap1 prequalify site-doesn't work

So I got pre-qualified offer in mail today from cap1 and went online to check out their site. The pre-qualified site said I have no pending offers. But I just got one in mail. Does this site work?


Starting Score: EQ 551 TU 548 CK 607on 6/8/12, EX 542(AMEX pull 3/4/12)
Current Score: EQ 808 TU --- EX --- CK 804(FAKO-EX 821, EQ 823, TU 803)
Goal Score: 750

Don't they have a spot to enter your invitation code?

they may. I did the search by ssn last 4 digits. I'm not coming out of garden, ESP not for a triple pull cap1 card. I was just curious.

The mail offer and pre-qualifer are to different things. For the mail offer. Go on website and click under credit cards,then click respond to mail offer. The pre-qualifer page is not for mail offers.

The point he's trying to make is, shouldn't he get pre-qualified offers online since he's already getting a mail offer?

Agreed, I think it further proves how much of a crapshoot most of the prequal sites are.  Also, I wasn't worried you were going to be wooed from the garden for a Cap1 triple pull

I totally understood what you meant Duncarr but because I to have ran into this and learn it doesn't happen that way. Heck I have gotten mail offers and denied, but have gotten approved with pre-qualifers. It would make sense, but it just doesn't seem to be happening that way. I have read a ton of forums on this same subject with a lot of other cc companies. Sucks

 

BTW glad they didn't pull all my reports. They only pulled my Equifax. I keep seeing people post that.

Don't worry about it.. The site is only telling you that you don't want their card anyways lol

Also everytime I have ever checked it it has always told me to go fly a kite. They have hated me every since I told them to go fly a kite and closed my account lol
