Not bad at all.  Just think you will soon be able to take em or leave em.  Just remembe rthe sticky on closing cards.  You have ten years to make good even if you close em.

Re: Cap1 wins again

Well, I guess sometimes it is necessary to rekindle old relationships.  Especially when it comes to maintaining a good credit score.  Did they offer any CLI's when you reopened these accounts?

Credit Drama you gotta do what cha gotta do--thats why I just sock drawer mines as well as HSBC let them work for me paid in full versus letting it work for them--they make no money off a card with no balance Smiley Happy

Re: Cap1 wins again

but with 0 balance and no activity, there's no benefit to the consumer, either.  why not small puchase and pif, for best fico score result  (30% of score)  Instead of full sock drawer action, no?  In any case it sounds like you got it twisted:  you look like the winner here, just keep up the good work.  my cap 1 apr reductions as follows:  18.9 to 14.9 to 11.9 and effective apr on my last satement 11.74 due to the fed rate cuts i'd imagine.  Brace yourself to receive more reductions going forward Smiley Wink

Re: Cap1 wins again

i dont think i can...i have never tried.i guess i see having more cards as more potential for a cli on all of them in the future. i think if i combine cls, i will be less likely to get a cli...and with 0 balance and no activity, it does benefit the customer because it is an OPEN tradeline that is factored into your utilization....just make sure to use the card once every 3 months for 5 dollars or something.
