CapOne PC to QuickSilver Transition....Facebook

So i'm pretty new to all this, only been registered a day but so much good and useful infornation. You guys are truly an awesome resource. So I was reading on a thread that you can contact CapOne via Facebook and try to get a Visa or MA PC transitioned to a QuickSilver card. I first checked online and no offers we available so I messaged them. Less than an hr laterI got a reply. they asked for me to check my online and let them know,

I then messaged back that I had no offers and would really appreciate any help, so they messages me back in like 45mins (awesome service) and asked my my number and zip code. Told me they would call me about 12pm pst today. Called me at 12:10....how great was that!!!

I have two cards with Capital One, one was a Visa PC with a 2k limit and then other was a HSBC MC that was transitioned to CapOne that was only a $300 limit but about a wek ago, i hit the LUV button and now it's at $2,300. So awesome, right?

So the lady first dealth with the Visa, said yup I am able to get the QuickSilver Visa but as she was reading, it turned out it was a QuickSilverOne but to me it's still a great upgrade. And just for this heck of it, i asked to look at the MC. Now this is where i went CRAZY.....she said "yup you are able to get the QuickSilver and it looks like this is the WMC version" I was like....SCORE!!!!! So I am super stoked and now the 7-10 day wait begins for the cards!!

Congrats on your successful PC!!! You can probably get them to waive the QS1 AF if you ask. 

1.5 CB from QS comes in handy if you don't have any rewards cards that cover EVERY category. 

I also PC'd via fB chat......I originally wanted a CLI, that was a no-go, but the PC works for now.

Hello, I got my QS1 MC changed to a QS MC no AF by contacting Cap One through Facebook. I called the EO a few times and got nowhere.  Facebook was the right choice and I had my new QS about a week after I recieved the QS1.

Sweet, congrats...  A word of warning on the WMC;  normally you need at least a 5k limit before your Quicksilver is made a World card.  I have one that actually is, and when I PC'd my Platinum, the rep told me that it would also be a World MC.  I awaited it's arrival, wondering if I would have a 1,700 World Card or just a Regular MC... it came regular, no World.

Oh ok @P-

I will be paitently waitng to see what it truly is. I know it was a "seeded" script she read that i had to agree to and for the Visa, she said, you were approved for the QuickSilver card but when reading the script, she said QuickSilverOne. When the MC, as she was reading she said, "Oh, this one qualified for the regular QuickSilver and said "actually looks like this will be a WMC" I was like ummmm really...awesome! Maybe becuse it was from HouseHold Bank and not a Cap1 initial card.

So when she read the script, she said QuickSilver WMC, so I hope it is but maybe not. We'll see.....I'll be fingers crossed and will update when they arrive.

I've spoken to quite a few reps and even with an EO csr, and when ever I asked about a World MasterCard version of their Quicksilver they all said that it's non-existent. Only MasterCard and Visa Signature versions are available right now.

The black card in my signature is a Quicksilver World Mastercard.  It's black, because I did a custom background.  When I first got it, the MC logo was monochrome and looked like this:

I just chatted again with Cap1 and was told again it would be a Visa QuickSilver One card and a QuickSilver WMC. I hope it is, as i think it would really be awesome but if not, I think in about 3 months I am going to ask for a CLI and hopefuly qualify for it then. 

I also thought i was in their Credit Steps program but turns out I am not, so that's another good sign that I can get better CLI's
