CapOne payment not due till February

Sooo why is my payment not due till February? I am a little confused here as to why I do not have a January payment...my statement just cut today. This card turns 1 in May.

That does seem a little far out. You could always make a $50 payment at the end of this week, just in case... then the rest of the payment amount by the due date.

Last may i got a cap 1 platinum which i eventually pc'd to a QS. I remember my first due date was delayed like that. I just got a comenity mc which this month showed no payment due because they applied the sub to it, I made a 50 payment anyway just to be safe. I agree with the previous poster, i would rather be safe than sorry and just pay 50 towards it now.

EDIT - wait a couple of days { up to 5 days } and see if a due date appears and pay 50 anyway.

That's very strange. When my Cap1 accounts have zero or negative balances, the 'payment due' blurb just says 'no payment due at this time.' I've never seen a due date a month later than it should be.

When was your last payment due? I'm guessing December 27. Are you absolutely sure there was a balance that should've incurred a January payment? I would go ahead and pay [at least] the minimum shown, and I'd do it before the *JANUARY* date, which I'm guessing should be January 27, arrives. The date shown could be a mistake, but when it comes to credit, I don't bank on mistakes that work in my favor--pay the bill and let Cap1 figure it out!
