Two Cap Ones acquired on 11/10/2014 $500 limits both credit steps one was QS1 the other a Platinum with $39 annual fee. Used heavily and PIF a couple times per month. Hit the Luv button 2/27/2014 got $1000 CLI on each card, then programmed changed the Platinum to anothe QS1 with no fees. 4/27/2015 both cards completed credit steps and each got another $500 CLI
Last week I applied for the Venture, instant approval at $10K and immediately applied for the QS Visa Sig, approved for $3K no sig.
Happy with Cap one.

Hello, I just got my Capital One Journey Visa card 2 1/2 months ago. I PC'd it to a Quicksilver like one month ago. I hot the LUV button like 5 times a week apart. I just got approved double my limit. From $2000 to $4000 plus its a credit steps card so I will et another increase in another 2 1/2 months plus I will hit the button again after that! I'm expecting to get this card to $8000 very soon!
speechless! Im stuck at 300 for some unknown reason but its not my main card anyway so im not worried. If it doesnt grow by spring im shutting it down.
6 months, has been pretty consistent for me. The only CLI I have gotten from them before that was on my Venture, which had a $15k CL, and I think I hit the luv button at 65 days, or something around there. It offered me only a $750 CLI, which I stupidly accepted. I heard others declined the small CLI and were later granted $3000 or more. Sept 23, I will be eligible for my next CLI's on 3 of my cards. I'm gonna take what I get then combine them, as my Venture and my Venture One will have been opened for at least 6mos. Maybe I should wait until November and hit them all up, then combine.
The LUV button works for me at 6 calendar months (minus one day or two). Anything sooner gives the denial for "recent" CLI
I opened 2 capone cards both sl $300 in Dec 2014 ....hit the luv button on both in May 2015 recvd cli of $500 on each card...then recvd credit steps auto cli July 2015 on both of another $500 each card. My current credit limit on each card is $1300, one card is QS1 and the other is a Plat MC PC'd to a QS1.
I've been playing around with my cards to see when the tipping point is for the message to change. On my new cards (QS1 and V1) they both were a go around day 65 but i didn't actually get them until around day 75 because the message went from account too new to something different. Made a big payment on the QS1 and a couple days later it offered me a $5k increase. I'm going to see if that holds true for my V1.
After that the 180 day rule has held firm. So try for an initial CLI after a couple of statements and monitor the denial reason. Watch for it to change off the account too new and then you know what to change to try and get the computer to flip the flag (i.e. higher payments, utilization across accounts, etc.)
For me it has been 30-60 days between CLI but I usually only get increases when I put big spend on the card. My wife and I have 9 open CO accts and 3 or 4 closed accts.
