Capital One CLI Request Methods - All the same?

Looking for opinions.

I've seen that there are multiple ways to request a CLI with Capital One; via the button online, via chat, via the automated telephone system and talking to a live person. Forgive me if I left one out.

Has anyone had more success with any one over the other? I'm considering requesting a CLI but would like to go the route that has the most success.

No difference for me with online vs chat vs phone.

In the first couple of years, online would be a "no" followed by no better deal with the phone or chat. Only a EO contact was helpful. It seems that lately Cap One EO connections have been pulled down due to excessive usage.

For my last 3 rounds, online was instant and I didn't try chat / phone. $2k every time Smiley Happy

Re: Capital One CLI Request Methods - All the same?

From reading here I don't think Cap One is as tricky as other card holders.

You ask, if you're eligible you get a CLI, if not, you don't. 6 months between CLI (excluding the period between opening and credit steps if your account is enrolled). Cap One seems to be fairly cut and dry.

Capital One Savor: $6,000; Mission Lane: $4,500; PenFed Power Cash Rewards: $3,500; Nordstrom Visa: $3,300; Capital One: $2,550; PenFed Gold: $2,500; Credit One: $2,000;
Store Cards: Kohls $2,500; Home Depot: $1,000; Amazon: $350; Target: $900; LOFT: $700

Thanks for the info! It seems that the EO has went dark on CLI requests. I reached out to them via e-mail and received a letter via USPS telling me all of the different ways that I could request a CLI.

I'm going to be requesting one from them before my next statement cuts. Probably tomorrow eve or Friday. Initially, I was going to try online. But I just may use the chat feature now.

Are they all SP regardless of how they're initiated?

I know that the online button is an SP. I used the button two days ago and got an instant 3x CLI. I haven't tried any other method though.

I have used the chat for other reasons and they seem very understanding and friendly, if that means anything to you.

Re: Capital One CLI Request Methods - All the same?

I did mine online recently as well an got a $3k CLI instantly (at $5k now)

I would agree that the chat feature seems like a caluclated response based on buzz words every time I have used it - I would say if you don't want to do the requets online you'd probably get better results calling

I would have to disagree with the chat feature responses. When I've used it in the past the CS rep on the other end was almost definitely a real person. I don't think a program would have been able to understand my questions, let alone give a response. However, I guess it could be different when requesting a CLI.
