Capital One CLI While in Credit Steps?

I could have sworn I read somewhere that people are requesting a CLI on their Platinum or QS1 while in credit steps, but I can't find where I read that. Has anyone else done this? If so, how long did you wait to request one? I am one payment in of five to get a $500 automatic CLI.

You can request once during credit steps after 3 months. You'll get $100 and it won't affect your scheduled increase. It's the only time you can request 2 CLI in a 6 month period.

You can also PC your card in that time. I changed my Platinum to a QS at month 4.

My brother was able to receive a $100 CLI after his 3rd statement. November will be his 5th statement & he will be given a $500 CL due to good behavior.

Highly recommended to do the PC to a QS card too - it’s a cash back card whereas the Plat is not. It’s nit much cash back but it’s better than none.

If a Quicksilver upgrade isn't available now, keep asking each month.

If you use the search feature, look for “capital one upgrade link” and you should find a link that’ll tell you if you can upgrade. FWIW, I got my partial steps CLI of $100 and my PC from Plat to QS within 5 minutes of each other.

No, CLI is a SP from what I’ve read. It certainly should be, considering the triple HP to get the card 🙄

I know for that reason (3x hp) I will probably never get another cap one card. Anyone know who they pull for a cli?
