Hopefully I'll have good news this week!
9:48am yesterday I sent an email to Capital One Exec Offices using the tools provided by the forum...... Seen here
3:35pm yesterday I noticed that I had a voicemail from someone at the office wanting me to call them back. I didn't actually get to talk to her until about 5pm. She basically asked me a little more about my email, I just stated that I currently have no rewards cards and that my wife and I have been long time members so I wanted to see if I could increase my limit and change to a rewards card instead of looking for new cards.
She verified my info, asked me some questions, told me that it would be a soft pull inquiry and that she will call me back in 2-3 days to see what type of rewards and CL they can provide. I know I was shooting a bit high for $10k but I knew she would ask if I would be ok with a limit that is less (which she did) if that's how it works out. Figured I'd ask high and settle in the middle.
Fingers crossed!
Good luck!

I just received a call back as well from the EO office as well after sending an email to the EO. I have been unsuccessful with chat and a FB message. I'll be returning the call shortly.

hlzzie... Did that email work that I sent? Good luck to both of you! I just had contact with the EO office and it was very pleasant, quick and easy! I was able to PC from classic platinum to the Quicksilver and I've only had the card for 7 months. I was going to ask for a cli but I figured the $3000 increase a month ago is good for now and didn't want to be to greedy
Yes it did! I sent an email yesterday and received the call today from a lady in the EO. I wasn't able to pick up because I was on my work line but I'll be calling back shortly.
I'll report back once I call back and speak with her!
WIsh me luck!
Ill be emailing the EO office later today (Do I just email Fairbank, who did you guys email?).
Ive been a member of Cap1 for 5 years, and my last increase was in December 13th 2010. I want to use this card, but its only an $1800 limit, so I cant use it for any home improvements or real shopping, cause It would show a utlitliy of 60-90% depending on what Ive purchased.
(That is somewhat the email I will be sending to the EO) hopefully its ok.
Just an update:
I didn't have any success with reaching out via CHAT or a FB message as some others have had. I'm very happy with what the EO office has been able to do for me so far. Don't give up until you get through to someone who has the ability to approve these changes for you. The frontline CSR's were no help and gave me the standard "by the book" responses. This included that my account was not eligible for an upgrade and that I would have to apply for the Quicksilver. Some people have been able to get EO assistance via a FB message but I was not able to on two separate occasions. The email method was successful for me.
Returned the call to a nice lady at the EO office. I was able to get PC'd from a Visa Platinum to the Quicksilver to take advantage of the rewards program. She submitted a request to the underwriter's department for a manual review for a CLI which is what I was hoping for and she said it would be a soft inquiry. She also refunded my $39.00 annual fee for this year but next year it will be due again.
So far so good. She said she'd call to let me know the results from the manual review and it would be about 3-5 business days.

Awesome! Sounds to be about the same exact thing that happened to me. She didn't offer me Quicksilver right away though, she said 3 days or so she would get back to me about both.
