I was %99 sure I wouldn't get my increase (hey it was 5x my limit HAHA) but from what I read it was pretty rare to get a decent increase without asking for it. If they call me back I may see what I can do about getting a little more. I'll just try and play the side that I want to use the rewards but without racking up a balance half of my limit.
No it still says Visa Platinum and nothing about the Quicksilver. I just have the addition of the rewards link right now too.
Haha yeah. I'm wondering if I should have aimed higher. I was hoping that by asking for a lower amount that they would approve it. We'll see what the lady says after I call her back.
Good luck with the call, be sure to update us! I'm tempted to call since I never got a call from anyone but I'll probably wait until tomorrow.
Thought I'd add this..... Found it while reading about the QuickSilver rewards on their site.
"If you are approved for a credit line less than $5,000, you will receive a Visa Platinum Card. Some terms and benefits are not available with the Visa Platinum Card. See Rates and Disclosures for term information and our Complete Guide to Credit Card Benefits for Visa Platinum Card (89KB PDF) for card benefit information."
When I went through the EO PC process, the lady said they could add rewards to one card that would equate to the Quicksilver program, but she could not actually change the card to a Quicksilver.
However, on my second Cap1 account, she was able to PC it. IDK what their deal is.
Good luck. Please post how it turns out. I tried to get a CLI last week through the love button and was only given $500. Now my quicksilver is up to 2.5k. I also tried to message capital one through facebook to see if they can match my other credit card limits, and was told to apply online again if I wanted a higher CLI.
Just got off the phone with the EO. I couldn't help myself. She said that I was getting %1.5 cash rewards on everything like the QS card but that I would still be using my Platinum Card. I told her I was really hoping to get above the $5k CL and she said that I'm welcome to call back after 10 days so they can do another soft pull. Do you REALLY think just 10 days would make a different? I'm happy with what I got.
I want to app for a few new cards since all I have is Cap 1 and retail cards but I'll probably wait until next month when this one updates to the $4k limit.

Hmmm that's weird. I'll have to ask or I can just wait to see because she said I would receive my new card in 7-10 days and to make sure that I call to activate it. Did they mention issuing you a new card or no? I'm assuming not if she told you you would still use the Platinum.
Ok so for sure I'm getting the Quicksilver card and $250 is the increase. She said I could call again in 6 months to request another CLI. Better than nothing!
I emailed the EO yesterday and they called me today. I asked for a $1500 CLI and to be PC'ed to a Quicksilver, he said he couldn't PC me but could add the 1.5% to my cards and would send my CLI to the UW and put in a good word for me.
I was going to ask for more but I'm still rebuilding and to be honest I'm happy with just getting the 1.5% and no AF if they decline me the CLI.
