Capital One CLI question

I have a silly question but I am not sure If I should go for it or wait or go for it. I was a approved for a Capital One QS and a Platinum card on September 9th for $500 on each. I use both of them a lot and pay it off twice a month. Tomorrow makes it two months since I had the card and I desperately need a CLI on at least one of them. I spend some time on these forums and many people have received a CLI after two months, should I request one today, tomorrow or wait like another week or so?? or next month??

Re: Capital One CLI question

I would just do it tomorrow and if its a no go, then try next month, and if thats a no go try the next month....etc.

Re: Capital One CLI question

Go for it. When i was waiting for my statement to cut a few mos. ago on a few cards. I honestly hit the button like 3 times a week on trying....once the statement cut and my reports updated then i got the increase. But it doesn't change any outcomes if you get denied and try again or not. You could hit it every day of the month if you wanted to. Your mailbox might get full though Smiley Tongue

Re: Capital One CLI question

I too just reached my second month. I just requested a CLI on both my cards (a few days after my first request) and received the same 2-3day message. I thought others here received their CLI immediately, and since my first request resulted in a denial, I'm thinking this is a denial as well. It could just be me, or it could be that I've tried too soon. I'd love to hear from others on when they received their CLI after the second month as well. Did they wait a week after the second month or was it at the 60day mark?

I have some significant purchases to make in the coming weeks, and would like to keep my Util down around 15-20% without having to make multiple CC payments.

Re: Capital One CLI question

I got my Cap One approval a day after you Smiley Happy

In the exact same scenario right now. Will try in a couple of days, hoping they will increase each to at least $1k. (currently @ $300 and $500, QS1 and Plat)

Good luck!

Re: Capital One CLI question

I believe a lot of it has to do with usage and payment.  On my QS and QS1, I received a significant bump in my CL right after my second statement cut on both accounts....and my CS numbers aren't much different that yours.  Keep using and paying and CapOne will reward you handsomely with CLI.
