This is for my wife's card, not mine, but I'm working on rebuilding both of our credits. Went to chat. Asked for an upgrade on her two Cap1 Platinums (1 secure, 1 not). She's had them for 10 and 7 years but never upgraded or asked for CLIs.
Chat was easy. They said that the older unsecured card (don't ask why she got a secured card after having an unsecured... too long ago to recall the circumstances) was approved for Quicksilver. Once the change was made, I asked about goodwill forgiveness of late payments. He could only waive the fees associated with them. Oh well. Goodwill letter it is.
