Capital One Credit Limit Matching

So I have 2 other cc with limits of 7k and 10k, but my Cap1 is only 500.

Anyone have any experience in CL matching or tactfully asking for a CLI based on my other card's limits?

They are rather conservative... some people report success in getting CLIs of that scale, but most of the reports I've seen (and my own experience) suggest you're better off getting another card for a respectable CL. 

I asked for $3k total CL after 6 years without CLI, and mentioned that it was lower than my average CL. I got bumped up to $1k. 

YMMV of course.

How are Cap1 with product changes? Only ask because I dont neccesarily wanna cut my AAoA because they're stingy...

I was able to PC my Platinum to Quicksilver with no issues. I closed my account a couple of months later though.

They seem better with that. I got mine via online chat, although you can also call in. 

A few people here (on prior threads) have suggested going straight to the EO, but that's a bad idea. A reasonable PC can be done by the regular CSRs. Only escalate if you can't get the help you need through normal channels. Just FYI.

Yeah I have quicksilver at the moment.

Hold on to it, or is there another Cap1 card word PC'ing to?

A PC with Cap1 wont affect anything its a SP, at least it was for me. As for CLI i know they like to see you use their card a lot and make big payments

When I've asked for CLIs on my QS1, they've always seem to barely beat my 2nd lowest major CC.   When Merrick held that honor with a $600 CL, QS went to $650.  When CreditOne held that honor at $950 CL, QS1 came in at $1000.   So I'm guessing now that Merrick is my lowest major bankcard at $1200 CL, they'd probably move me to $1250 if I requested now.

I had 2 cards with $10K CLs when I applied for my QS and CO matched those limits.

I have a QS1 that had a $2,500 CL.  I asked EO for a CLI to match my highest of $15,000.  They countered with $10,000

So if they like what they see on your CR, you can get high limits w Cap One.
