I know that people report getting early credit steps increases and then still getting their 6 month increase.
My question is that the general rule I have heard is that capital one has a 6 month wait for increases via the love button and that the document response will say "you recently received an increase"... Has anyone else out there received LUV button increases within 2-6 months after receiving a LUV button specific increase (obviously not including EO or STEPS increases).
I'm mainly wanting to know if I have a shot at a LUV button increase prior to hitting my one year mark after having gotten an EO increase the day of my steps increase at my six month mark.

Great question. I have been wondering the same thing. I got an increase in April and should get my credit steps in July, But have been hoping I could hit the button after this month's statement and get another luv button cli before the July credit steps.
I haven't heard of anyone myself, but you two can volunteer to be the guinea pigs here. It's only a SP and trying before your 6 months doesn't reset the clock or anything. If one of you does try it, post back with your results.

JustMe3, What is this Luv button and where is it?

It's not really a button per se, it's a request to increase your credit limit. If you log into your Capital One account, on the top right click on "Services" then look under "Card Services" you'll see a link to "Request Credit Line Increase"

Lol! I really thought there was this cute little button somewhere. Anyways I did request a CLI on both of my Cap 1 cards and was approved for a $500 increase and a $800 increase. I also called and converted the one platinum non-reward card to a quick silver.
Thanks for answering my silly question!
Everybody calls it the "luv button" when a more appropriate term would be credit limit increase link, or CLI link. Stupid term lol
Just as soon as my statement shows on the website, I'm gonna give it a go. Like you said, it's a sp anyway.
The luv button is just the credit credit limit increase tab on the site.
@ FamilyManDan
It wasn't a silly question at all. When I first heard the term I thought the same thing. Congratulations on your increases!!!
How long have you had your cards FamilyManDan. Reason I ask is because I've had my platinum card since Feb and tried to PC to QS1 but they wouldn't do it at that time because account was too new. (April 24th) . Figured I'd try again at six months.
