Re: Capital One- No more apr reductions for rest of 2020, maybe longer

I've accepted that the day will come when they cut it in half or even more possibly. I just don't care enough to do it. As much as it'd suck to lose the limit it'd suck even more for me to run high spend through a 1.5%CB card when I know I can do better with another.

Honestly I stopped calling and asking back in 2018 when I got my CU cards. Even with their temporary reduction, I was still paying like 14% if I carried a balance.

Yep, exactly...too high.  24% ridiculous, not the daily driver type card.  I just pc'd this card for the extra points, kids using for daily driver but now that apr has shot back up, time to move on.

Once CapOne brings back apr reduction and I get this back down to a palatable % fine.

Time to call in to request apr reductions on all cards and was told Capital One will not grant anymore apr reductions indefinitely. CSR said not just for me, for everyone.  Question:  Has anyone gotten one from them lately?

Hey Peachy,

The EO used to do permanent, but not in a long while.

Call and say, What are my promos? They do 7 month promos. Mine haven't been without in years. When they expire, there's a new one a few days later.

My QS is 14.99, but 10.9 with promo.

I hear ya, and if the apr is high on top of that then that 1.5% is even less. That lower apr meant all the difference in rocking the socks or being thrown into the socks for a season or two.  I'm a pif'er but my AU's are not so moving on to lower apr cards, no biggie, just disappointing.

That's not the same thing? Temp. apr reduction?

My last one was 3 weeks ago. Either that just happened, or rep is misinformed.

Supposedly it happened Sept. 1st.  You're a lucky duck.  Mine just expired last week.

It's really kind of sad. They once had stellar service for the average joe.

No more graduating cards, no more account reallocations. Times have certainly changed and no perks for a cardholder.

I knew there were more perks gone but couldn't remember them all.  Hopefully some will come back.  I blame this Covid 19/Economic Downturn for the recent losses so it'll be a while I'm sure.  Even the CSR said that.
