I have never PC'd a card. I want to PC fromt the QSone to the regular QS because I do not want to pay for the annual fee on the QSone($39). Is there anything that I should know? Will the PC result in a HP?
Use the Capital One upgrade link to check for upgrades. No HP.

That link makes me sign in then shows my QuicksilverOne and ask me if I want to upgrade to the same card.
Means you don't have any other upgrades available.
We have no real long term data points on people upgrading to the same card but people have done it. There's some suspicion that cards can be in different tiers for the same card, such as a QuicksilverOne which in a starter tier (low credit limits) versus a QuicksilverOne that is in a tier without major credit limit ceilings, and that upgrading may get you the same card but with fewer limitations. There's no proof of that, though.
What's your current utilization like?
FWIW I just recently upgraded my QS1 to a QS yesterday. Have had card a little over 2 years. $8,300 limit and 90% utilization.
Utilization is ~5%, is it possible that I don't have an upgrade from QS1 to QS becuase I had the card for less than a year? I wanted to upgrade to the QS because I wanted to aviod this fee.

thomasjm99, have you been using the card each and every month? The reason I ask is that QS1 upgrades are hard to get. Once I used my QS1s each and every month for about a year, I got offers. From only my own experience, I can't say that the consecutive months of usage coaxed out the offers or if it was just coincidence. But if we find that those who've gotten upgrades have been using the card over a period of time, it might be sound advice to give out.

It could be the age of your card. Keep using it every month. And call in and ask about offers every month. You don't want to miss anything.
I opened my Platinum CC in April $(300 balance). Two months after I pressed the increase and they gave me $100.00. I have been using the card every month making sure I dont put more than $150.00 and paying in full every month. Last month they increased my limit to $750.00 (I did not ask for it) and las thursday I used the link and I was upgraded to QS (not QS one). I almost hit the floor but I took it! You can see the credit score progression in the firm. I believe the trick is to pay in full every month, Capital One seems to love that. Good luck everybody!

Yes - I use it every single month. It's pretty much the only rewards card I have (besides some other cards I am an AU on) and I have enough room to run groceries and gas through it and then pay back what I spend.
Had some medical expenses earlier this year that drove the balance way up and I was surprised to get the upgrade offer even though my utilization on it is so high.
I did it a week or so ago, on a card that was not quite a year old.
$3000 original limit, went up to $3500 automatically, and I PCd it with the same limit, interest, etc. to a QS recently. It will be one year that I've had it, the first week of October. I also had the choice to change it to a Venture One. I went up to my limit in April to pay my taxes, since there was no interest, and have paid it down to about $1500 (still putting most of my bills through it every month). Hope this helps.
