I applied for that card last month when I got a pre-approval. They did not offer me the cash back but gave me 0% interest for 9 months then apr of 17.99. Got a sl of $3000. Already had QS1 for 10 months at $1500 cl when applied. Will probably close the QS1 before annual fee hits now and try for a Venture this summer. Scores all in the 660-675 range
All the preferred platinum is, is their starter card with a slightly lower APR. and it gives you higher starting lines than the standard platinum $300. So I’m guessing it’s growth potential is faster than the standard platinum card. It’s a good card to PC to the Quicksilver or Venture one day tho. Just info for those rebuilders interested.

I have no interest in this card or any other capital one card at this time. I just thought I would share this with the forum.
There’s not a lot of information on Cap 1’s Preferred Platnium and I couldn’t find one mention of it being offered with Cash Back using google search.
I would imagine this is the best offer for this card given the cash back and no AF.

I was also pre-qualified for the QS1, Along with the regular platnium card.
My scores :
TU 695 (01/09/18)
EQ 680 (01/09/18)
EX 648 (01/20/18)
I will update this after I get another 3B pull next week if the offer still shows up when I pull my reports and scores.
I did get a medical collection for $139 removed from EQ yesterday.
Still have one collection for $675 showing on all 3 reports. OC was Capital One. 2014

Don’t just close it.
combine the limits first
I seem to recall a time, either some or many years ago, when Cap1 offered a version of this card with no rewards, but an APR of around 8.99% V or thereabouts...
