Recently got a few new cards for balance transfer offers, and upped the limit on my Capital One. I have been since getting letters for the Quicksilver, which I wouldn't mind having to use for rewards that do not fall under the 5% for the Freedom and Discover IT. I was curious if I called in to the Cap1 EO and attempt a product change from the Platinum, would telling them that I have an invitation number already up my chances at all? I'd prefer not to get more cards at this time, so I am leaning towards trying this....Do you think I will have any luck doing so?
Update: Went on to the chat feature last night and the CSR did the PC right there. Said I will be receiving the card in 7-10 days. Limit and everything stayed the same. Was not eligible for the $100 on $500, they said that is only for new cardholders.
I upgraded my Platinum to Quicksilver with the regular CSR. I wouldnt think you'd have a problem doing the same, just call the regular number and tell them you'd like to take advantage of rewards on the Quicksilver.

+1
Remember, the EO should never be your first line of resolution, but your last. Try the phone CSRs 1-3 times, secure message on the website once or twice, before even thinking about going to the CEO's office.

I recently was able to pc from the platinum to the quicksilver one through the EO. I did try a csr who told me I couldn't. Just be calm and thoroughly explain. My question is how long did the process take to fully convert over?
I did my PC through secure chat on the website, but LUV button wwas unplugged and EO got me a 33% hike apparently.
I think it was about 10 calendar days between the CSR convo and getting the new card. Had a bit of travel this month so it's been hard to remember, and it came while I was away.

Where did you find a chat on Cap1? I've never seen one :/
I called CS and they did a pc from Plantium to Quicksilver. When I asked, she was just like "sure that's not a problem" and read over a few disclaimers and that was it. I started receiving cash back on my purchases the very next day.

Log in to CC online servicing, click on "Contact Us" at the top right next to "Sign Out," then look in the right column under "Contact Us." I have "Chat Live Now" "Send a Secure Message" "View all contact options" and a list of phone numbers in that column.
It might be that chat is sometimes unavailable and doesn't show up there, but I'm not sure. The few times I've tried, it's been there.
Edited to add: And in the two minutes it took me to type this response, the "A specialist can assist you online right now" popup came up.

So did they send you a new card? Also, were you able to get the promo at that time (currently they are offering $100 on $500 spend in 3 months). I figure since I have the offer they sent to me I should be able to have it apply, even through a PC.
