I've never ever seen this (Cap One must be low on cash - haha).
This morning around 7am, I scheduled two payments on Venture cards (one for $100 and the other for $80) for today's date. This afternoon around 2pm, while holiday shopping, I checked the balance in our Chase checking account (always check transactions after purchases), and to my absolute surprise, these two payments are already pending in our checking, even showing a reduced available balance.
I have scheduled hundreds upon hundreds of credit card payments with Cap One (or for that matter, other banks), and have never experienced this. Has this happened to anyone?
Moral of this story - Don't schedule payments early in the day with the thought of depositing money before the end of the work day (we had extra, so no worry), because stuff can be pending and clearing within hours. Just amazing.
Somehow capital one cleared a payment today before it even showed up as pending on my checking account.

They always used to do that to meCapital One was soooo fast... NFCU is somewhat fast to me too... Unless you're paying over $5,000 from an external account then they take 48hours...
So fast ... ! Thanks for the confirmation!
