I think this is a reasonable situation in which to enlist the EO's help if you really would still like to move forward with them. You did everything asked of you, several times, within the time frame requested, and now they are telling you the time is expired. I don't think it would hurt to at least ask for the help, especially since you are concerned about your scores being fairly low and concerned about your ability to start over with a different lender. I'm sorry this happened to you.
as in an email to EO? Or call?

I would also get in touch with them on social media--it seems they're a little bit more responsive and willing to work things out there as well.

E-mail to the EO would be a start. You really can't call them unless they provide you with a number and an access code, since the EO number was taken away because it was used so often.I don't think an e-mail explaining your situation in a friendly way, requesting help, and sharing that you did everything that was asked of you would hurt.
Go to their nearest bank and pin their requirements on their forehead with a pin.
Little tidbit to avoid frustrations with Capital One verification ok?
I just went thru this exact same thing last week on my Venture Approval only via phone verify this time and public record questions. So the first time back in March or whatever had to do with the FAX in copies of your DL/Utility Bill etc. and required to send again a second time no matter what. I don't question the reasons, if they want 10 copies their gonna get 10.
The main thing here OP is NEVER WAIT A WEEK!!! Stay on top of it until they 100% confirm and approve. IMHO your que in line or whatever will get lost in the shuffle and then you'll be totally frustrated with the waiting and being transferred all over the place only to be told something else is amiss.
Like i said, NEVER WAIT A WEEK, stay on them HOURLY and/or DAILY until it's done. Just some good advice to avoid that headache with Capital One.
BTW, thank goodness i remembered the name of a county that i lived in, in another state 15 years ago if only for a few months ![]()

You certainly don't need to feel like a credit youngin either. When i went thru my first time with them on that i was as dumfounded myself as anyone when they came back with "well those are too unreadable" etc. and i had to resend them again.
