Capital One Wallet beta for web browsers rolling out.

I couldn't find any posts about this so thought I'd post about it.

I logged into my capital one account to see they have introduced the Wallet app to at least Chrome as of now. If you install it to your browser any time you shop online it can generate a one time card number and information. This way you don't have to give out your actual card number when shopping online.

The link on my account page led me to this page where you can install it and start using it. Hopefully this catches on with others in the industry.

It was right below the drop down menus and above the main summary box on the front page. It is only supported by Chrome as I have found out opening that web page into firefox. It wasn't like the whole Masterpass pop up that occured before you got to your main page of the account. If you're unsure I'd say talk to a chat rep I did just to confirm it was legit.

This is great news!
There are third party services such as Blur and Privacy, but I am glad to see this layer of protection coming directly from the financial institution.
