I just logged in to my Cap One acct and had a big pop up that let me know my WM account was ready to be linked. I just had to click “link accounts” and check a couple of boxes and it was done.
It appears my limit of $10k is in tact and all transactions show correctly. I do have a random $3 credit balance.
I’m sure my limit will be cut down to nothing eventually. I’ve never put more than a couple hundred on it at a time but I like the padding for overall utilization. But Cap One has not ever been my biggest fan for whatever reason. I just closed a 5 year old MC because they would never approve a limit over the initial $750. I have a QuickSilver with $3,650 that I never use anymore but these cards were essential in my credit rebuild back then so I’ll keep that one open.
As an aside, I just got a Credit Sesame TU notice that my WM Sync card has been closed. I panicked at first but then remembered the switch. But this is the 3rd time now in just a few years that I’ve gotten a new trade line on this account. The original store card, then the unsolicited upgrade to the MC version, now this. WalMart is killing my AAoA that I’m trying to build up. I haven’t opened a new acct in almost 2 years. Ugh.
Question - I assume we are getting new cards but I have not yet. Has anyone? How do we use the acct in the meantime? I was planning a grocery pick up order for Sunday but I guess I’ll need to use another card.
