Has anyone else noticed that Cap one is shying away from account combination lately? I completed the process 2 years ago in 2015 and I tried to do it again this morning. One account has a balance but the one Im combining and closing does not. Which is the same way I completed it back in 2015. My account is also a year old (the one I'm closing/combining), no late payments, no missed payments. Meets all the criteria but I was unable to combine it this morning. I hopped on chat and was given all the text book reasons why it may not be eligible but again, the answers did not justify the decline, I meet all the criteria. Just wondering of anyone else has noticed this behavior?

I haven't noticed, but I wouldn't be surprised given some of the MONSTER CLs I've seen on these boards alone. And from I hear, C1 is tightening its belt as of late.
