I went on a crazy app spree recently. After I applied for 6 major credit cards (got all of them approved) and made 3 CLI requests, I decided to apply for one more card (to test the limit!)
Capital One Venture Rewards was the last card I applied and by that time, I already had 7 hard inquiries on Experian and 6 on TransUnion. I still got an instant approval but the credit limit was only $5,000 when 6 other new cards all got $10k-$20k credit limits. I'm sure that it's all those hard inquiries that helped me get a relatively low CL. As a side note, this was my first Capital One card and my Experian FICO was 782 (dropped from 800+ because of hard inquiries)
Does anyone have tips/advices on when and how I should make a CLI request with this card? I'm not going to call them now and ask for CLI but because I heard that it's difficult to get a good CLI with Capital One, I want to have a plan of attack. I expect to get at least a $10k CL on this card.
