IMHO, Capital One has the credit world's worse customer service. And I'm not speaking to a few bad experiences, I'm speaking in general. They're soo scripted that they sound like robots, it's really hard to deal with those kind of reps. It's worse then talking to the automated system. I'm not exaggerating. I've only talked to one american since i've had them for 10 months. It isn't like I've had bad experiences, as I said, but compared to other service reps (amex, barclays, chase) they're terrible. Also, as the other poster said they really are stingy with CLI so I keep them in the sock drawer. Only pro is that they were the easiest place for me to start with an unsecured card.

You took the words right out of my mouth, so to speak (since I would have been typing them LOL)
