Capital One upgrade question

Capital One is offering to upgrade my Platinum card to the no AF Quicksilver, which I already have one of. My question is, if the Platinum card is bucketed, will the same status carry over to the upgraded card?

Yes. The bucketing is for the life of the card, doesn't matter if it's upgraded or not.

Take the upgrade, even if the card is bucketed 1.5 pct cb is better than zero, besides its the no af version so its no sweat.

Yes the same status applies. I would upgrade but I also don't see the point of 2 Quicksilvers. Maybe somewhere down the line they would offer an upgrade to the Venture card like they do for some people.

Yes, I've seen offerers on the upgrade page where I could change my QS to a Venture or Venture one. I'm holding out for the day they let me change it to a SavorOne. Wishful thinking probably on my part, but I'd get some good out of it. 1.5% really doesn't do anything for me when I have three cards that each give me 2% back on everything. But I keep using that QS a little bit to keep it active.
