Re: Capital One!!!

So I applied and they approved. They pulled all three bureaus. I don't even know what my TU score is/was because I'm always forever locked out of that FICO (frickin' TU won't interface my info with fico for some reason)

Anyway, I got a $300 CL. WTF?? ARGGGGGGGGGGGHHH!! I all I can say. I got 5 times that with Hooters. Anyway...I'm gonna keep it. Know why? 0% til June (big whoop), but they also gave me an 8% interest rate after the promo.

I tried to get the guy to say whether this is a rebuilder vs. something I can water with use and payments and watch it grow. He said it's eligible for increases, but couldn't/didn't really say anything more than the IR and promo rate.

I was going to ask for an increase, but I haven't gotten the card yet, want to read the disclosures.

If it's near prime/prime-ish, it'll be my first such card in ages.
*sigh*

I'm obsessed! I've got PFD and GW letters out there. I only have 4 or five baddies/collections and on my true credit report, 2.

I'm gonna kill Experian if they don't take my ex's info off my report. And when I get these other things gone (all total collection is only about $600) The thing that probably kills the worst is the original entry of a student loan I had. I rehabbed that, but the original will still show.

Anyway...rebuilding I will go...

Re: Capital One!!!

I'm not a big fan of capitol one. If it wasn't for account age I'd cancel my card with them.

Re: Capital One!!!

What's the TC fiasco? I'd really like to know because I have not been able to access my fico through TU for some time. It's REALLY a hinderance when you're trying to rectify the wrongs.

Re: Capital One!!!

True Credit banned users from their service- it also locked them out of all trans union services-

I was never kept from my FICO even while TC had me banned-

This is a simple call to myFICO customer service-

Re: Capital One!!!

Thing is, I CAN get into True Credit without problem. I can pull my reports and get my FAKO from them. I just can't and haven't been able to get my FICO from here from them.

I've called myFico and Transunion.

MF says that it's TU. TU says there's nothing wrong.

Arrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhh!

Re: Capital One!!!

hey, new user, first post

I personally can't stand Capital One.  I was 18 when they sent me an offer to apply.  I applied and they gave me CL $5000.  THIS WAS MY FIRST CARD, is that really necessary?!  Needless to say, 6 years later and I'm pretty much at the $5000.  I maxed it pretty quick as a "kid" I always make my payments and I make more than suggested.  At one or two points I had them paid down to about $2000-3000 but for some reason I just keep spending on it.  Anyway, got another Cap last year, $500cl puh.  I want to pay off and get rid of my $5000cl card so bad but it does have a long history for me.  They are killing me though... slowly.  Luckily they screwed me AFTER I got approved for my mortgage loan.   Now it's just recovering from them, slowly but surely.
Customer Service sucks as well... in my opinion

Sorry for such a long rant, especially for my first post

Re: Capital One!!!

I would have paid them off completely somewhere along the line. You have to play their game.
