Well the other good thing is the Venture One is for people with good to excellent credit. I get it Capital One wants to see how the consumers are. Ive done 2 upgrades to cards getting me away from the last card program. I had rewards on the last card but I dont use the card enough to make those rewards, this card is just for payment history and thats it. Id rather not waste any pulls to get another Capital One card. This will be the only card with Capital One, as I have experienced slow CL increases. Its served it puporses and will continue as a credit history card for me. I was going to request a credit increase next month for the card nut since I upgraded I m now reading up I have to wait to request 3months for the Venture One ?
Well I took the plunge today to ask for a credit increase on my Venture One for $8500 (currently at $4500) inputted my imformation and got a pop up that stated they would get back to me in 2-3 days??? All while saying it would not affect my credit.....Had I known that I would have asked for $20,000
CapOne online CLI request is always SP, and if you're getting denied at $8.5k (2-3 day message is usually denial), what good is asking for $20k?
Since this card is just for history and the rewards kinda sucks (1.25 miles/dollar), I wouldn't sweat too much about CLI, just ask once a month to see if you get lucky, don't leave reward $ on the table if you have other cards with better returns just trying to trigger CLIs, put a small reoccurring monthly charge and put it on autopay, $4.5k should be more than enough for that.

Yes I understand this but I would have preferred to have a higher limit when I apply for other credit cards, I dont want to be stuck at $4,500 with other cards as well. This card will never be used anymore, other than my cell phone bill and to get payment history out of it. Im done with Cap1
Just an update I got my denial letter through a Message from Capital One. They are saying," Recent use of this account existing credit line has been too low" Capital One is stupid, period. 1st they complian that my credit line being used is too high and than next that my payments are too effin low and now that the credit balance has been paid off and I have only used $90 each month for 2 months straight and paid it off, they are complaining that I am using not enough of my credit limit? Stupid a$$ company
760 with good income and good Cap One history should get you $10k - $30k SL on a new Cap One card.

I would not waste 3 HIs on Capital One again, I have had a card with them for 4 years, I would have expected it to grow to $10k at least and I would have been happy and leftit at that, put Cap1 is just annoying. Exc Customer service is looking into the lastest denial and will give me an answer once the research is complete.
